Overview

  • Plan D’Action Citoyenne (PAC) is watching in horror as the Dominican Republic is preparing a mass repatriation of thousands of Haitians and Dominicans of Haitian descent, who cannot provide the necessary identification documents to secure legal residency. Despite our frustrations and feeling of helplessness, we are taking a stand and be the voice of our brothers and sisters who seem to have nowhere to go and no one to turn to.

    1. Plan D’Action Citoyenne (PAC) would like to ask the authorities of the Dominican Republic to provide a 6 months extension for the registration.
    2. Plan D’Action Citoyenne (PAC) would like to ask the Haitian Government to waive ALL fees and provide the necessary identification documentations (i.e. Birth Certificate, NIF, etc) to our brothers and sisters.
    3. Plan D’Action Citoyenne (PAC) entreats the UN Refugee Agency and the International Rescue Committee to respond to this potential refugee crisis that is facing our nation, and help provide for our brothers and sisters.

PAC believes that we ARE our brothers’ keepers. PAC stands upon the golden rule in that we are to treat people as we would wish to be treated ourselves.
