PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (sentinel.ht) - A staggering 3.8 million Haitians, roughly 40% of the population, are living in food insecurity, this is according to expert from the Haitian Platform for Advocating Alternative Development (PAPDA), Camille Chalmers, who spoke Friday from the headquarters of the Platform of Haitian Human Rights Organizations (POHDH).
Chalmers made this statement during a panel discussion on "land reform to a domestic guaranteeing the right to food of citizens." The leaders of the POHDH, through this initiative, undertake among other things, review the different socio-economic, political and cultural country to propose appropriate solutions to it.
