If you are a non-profit organization and your staff is working around the clock on planning your next big event, don't forget that you can always get some volunteers involved. Below are some tips from the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO), the organizer of the CEO Conference.
Started by a professor (Dr. Jerry Hills) in 1983 as a student meet up where 15 students got together to talk about entrepreneurship, the CEO Conference is now gathering over 1200 students, faculty, and young entrepreneurs every year.
CEO is a membership-based organization that works with over 200 schools to promote entrepreneurship to students through clubs, events, and other activities.
The CEO Conference is their biggest event that will kick-off this year October 30th through November 1st in Orlando, Florida.
Some of the highlights of this two and a half day event include The Elevator Pitch competition, 70 carefully selected entrepreneurs who will be sharing their experience, and a networking event at a pool party.
The organizers are proud that some of the students who participated in their Elevator Pitch Competition have made it to the Shark Tank TV show, as well as sold their businesses for millions of dollars.
The conference is being organized by a team of six, and every year they get 10-30 volunteers to help with event planning, as well as on-site during the event.
